Comments: Cultivating Sustainable Neighborhoods: Community Gardens and Housing as Symbiotic Neighborhood Energizers.

There are over 600 community gardens in NYC which have long served as gathering spaces, sources of sustainable practices and opportunities for urban agriculture. Listen to panel experts discuss public policies and possible legislation that deal with the role and relationship of these gardens as partners to affordable and market-rate housing developments. Hear about current projects that have successfully incorporated public green space.

This event will be held in cooperation with Parsons The New School for Design and the Living Concrete - Carrot City exhibit.
